When we move, regulate, and connect in immersive spaces, we allow our nervous systems to adapt and integrate experiences differently. Our AIRE Chicago Kettlebell Flow was a dream: a chance to practice strength, attention, and recovery as one continuous thing.

We began with 40 minutes of kettlebell movement. Syncing breath to movement around the salt bath, the shared intensity was contagious. Each transition asked for presence; each repetition gave us a way back to ourselves. By the end of the flow, the room had become a shared rhythm.

Then the pace changed. We had 45 minutes in AIRE to let the nervous system settle and to receive the other half of the practice: the baths, steam, sauna, and waterfall environment that made recovery as a community part of the practice.

The practice did not end when the movement stopped- it evolved into a space of connection, ease, and nervous system regulation.

There was something quietly communal about moving together, then giving ourselves permission to slow down together. No one had to perform recovery. We could simply be in it, each person finding their own pace while remaining part of the morning.

Every attendee was given a Sauna Hat from Cult of Sauna: 6mm, made from 100% organic wool. It belonged to the same considered spirit as the gathering—simple, useful, and attentive to the experience.

We left with the feeling that a complete practice can hold more than effort. It can make room for the pause after, for the people beside you, and for the quiet return to the world.
